Gone are the good old days of open windows and unlocked doors. These days security has become more of a necessity rather than a luxury and luckily here at Wanneroo Glass we can help! We can supply and fit security doors and screens in a range of colours and styles to suit your individual needs.
Our three main styles are:
Standard Diamond Grill – Can be fitted with any mesh type (excluding Screenguard and Perforated Aluminium Mesh).
Perforated Aluminium Mesh – 3mm thick aluminium sheet with multiple 3mm diameter punched holes, evenly spaced throughout the entire sheet (Please note: This option is not midgee or small insect proof).
Screenguard – 316 marine grade stainless steel woven mesh, barely noticeable as well as being the highest quality mesh on the market (Please note: This option is not midgee or small insect proof).
All Perforated Aluminium Mesh and Screenguard security doors include a triple lock while standard diamond grill comes with a single lock but can be upgraded to a triple lock for extra security.
All of our hinged security doors are fitted with 3 hinges for extra support and security. Each hinge is fitted on the inside of the frame so they can’t be drilled out or easily pried away from the frame by someone on the outside.
All of our security doors are available in both a hinged and sliding style and can generally be fitted to your existing doors or frames.
If they can’t be fitted directly then we can supply and fit a reveal frame for hinged doors or a build-out frame for sliders which will allow us to fit the new security door.
We can also provide you with new or replacement locks and handles for all your other windows and doors. Please refer to our parts & services page for a list of stocked parts and accessories.
Fibreglass or Aluminium Mesh are the most common types and are found in most residential fly screens.
All fly screens and fly doors ordered through Wanneroo Glass come standard with fibreglass mesh but can be upgraded to any of the below types if requested.
Tuff-Mesh is a heavy duty flywire so it’s stronger and more resilient to accidental damage.
Pet-Mesh is stronger again and is generally used when you have cats or small dogs that like to scratch at the door.
Micro-Mesh is basically fibreglass mesh that has been weaved closer together creating smaller gaps between the wires. This type of mesh is ideal for areas where midgees or small insects are common and regular mesh only keeps out the larger pests like flies.
One-Way Restricted Vision is manufactured from aluminium in a way that makes it see through from one side and appear almost like a solid panel from the other. This mesh is most commonly found in front doors but can also be fitted to windows making it ideal for extra privacy when the blinds are open.
Coloured film or tint is a great way of adding style or extra privacy to your home or business without the need for new glass. Grey and bronze tint are the most commonly used but practically any colour is available so there’s no need to settle for something that isn’t exactly what you are after.
Other popular films include translucent tint to modernise your properties look or to obscure for extra privacy without blocking out the natural light.
Film can also be used as a security feature on existing glass. Clear safety film can be applied to any glass in order to increase its strength and also to hold the glass together if it gets broken. This minimises the risk of injury and also saves you the hassle of cleaning up sharp jagged shards of glass. A heavy duty and even super heavy duty grade is also available for use on thicker glass or on glass in areas of high-risk to breakage.
